Can I bring aerosol sprays on an airplane?

Aerosol sprays (including shaving foam, body spray, and insecticide) are classified as liquid/gel items for air travel. They must be packed in containers of no more than 100ml each and placed in a clear, resealable 1-liter plastic bag for carry-on . Larger containers must be checked in. Note: the rule applies to the container's capacity, not the actual amount of liquid inside. A 500ml can with only 50ml left is still not allowed as carry-on .
